Bunnies Overview
Our Bunnies preschool program is for 2.5 to 3.5 Year Olds
Welcome to our bouncing bunnies. This class is a transition class from toddlers to preschoolers. The Bunnies class is here to help the older two’s or older three’s that miss that kindergarten cut off day of Sept. 1st. The children are very active in this class and are excited to learn more and become independent. It is important to allow the children to express how they feel and have them communicate how they feel. This teaches the children to use their words when speaking to the peers and adults. The Bunnies need a lot of freedom to use their imagination and creativity. They need lots of open ended questions and role modeling to help enhance this.
The bunnies will continue with daily fine motor, gross motor, and language. Their curriculum will involve more math, science, phonetic awareness and recognition. They will begin to work on tracing skills as the near the end of the school year. Children will also learn to follow a daily routine. This will help the children with a sense of what is happening and what is coming next. We do monthly assessments and bi-annual conferences with the children to assure they are reaching their developmental milestones. Parents and child care educators must work together to do what is best for the children. The Bunnies class provides breakfast (8:15), lunch (11:00), snack (2:30 & 5:30),mat for nap, and art supplies. The parents must provide a crib sheet and blanket, water bottle, change of clothes (labeled), diapers, and wipes. If you chose to have diaper rash cream or bug spray, you can provide it along with a medical release form. All children must wear closed toes shoes. All children must be here by 9:00.
